Even if you are not a gardener you will enjoy the beauty of the Woodlands gardens. With many trees on the property dating back to the 1870's, its not hard to appreciate the amazing surroundings of the 15 acres at Woodlands.

The Woodlands Historic Homestead - Open 7 days per week! A visit to the garden wouldn't be complete without exploring the Historic Homestead. With access to every room you can get amongst the treasures of yesteryear and browse at your leisure, or, take the audio tour using old radiograms. And of course, the DVD presentation will give you the history of Woodlands from its days as a 98,000 acre estate to today. Adults $5, Under 15's FREE. Open Daily 10am - 4pm. The Homestead will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Years Day.

Woodlands own Wedding Expo - Sunday 26th September 2010 - open to the public 9am to 4pm - Come along see our venue, meet our preferred suppliers - some great ideas! Florists, Bridal Attire, Cakes, Wedding Transport, Table Settings, Doves etc.

Woodlands Membership
If you would like to hgelp support the ongoing development and maintenance of Woodlands please email us on info "at" woodlands.co.nz advising that you are sending your membership fee via mail. We will need to know your name, address, phone number and will send out a membership card to you. Single Membership is $15. Double / Family Membership is $20. This membership giving you free access to the Homestead at any time (normally $5 for Adults). Entry to the Gardens is FREE at anytime. Just show your membership Card at the Homestead office to gain FREE entry.
Membership can also be paid by direct banking online to Woodlands Trust account number 020 316 0319608 00 BNZ Hamilton.
DVD History For Sale The History of Woodlands on DVD is now available to purchase from the Woodlands office. Featuring the 135 years of the Estate's history and over 400 images of its transformation from peatlands to the beautifully restored homestead and gardens of today. Books for Sale We have two books available for purchase at the Homestead office, both featuring Woodlands Homestead, Gardens and Function Centre:-

Plants for Sale Ongoing throughout the year there are plants available for sale that have been grown at the Gardens. These plants have been grown from cuttings taken from the garden and are available at the front of the Homestead.
Woodwork for Sale Handcrafted Woodwork is available for Sale at the Homestead. The woodwork, which ranges from kids spinning tops to wooden bowls and candle sticks have been crafted by Woodlands Life Member and Volunteer, Mr Roger Jennings from antique timber grown in the Woodlands Historic Gardens. Each piece has the wood type and date etched underneath.
